Daytona 500 and More

As much as I love to blog, I have to admit that school work is cutting into my blogging time.  So, this is a long post, with a lot of information, and not nearly enough time spent on all I want to talk about.  But enjoy it anyhow.

This weekend was the first points race in many of NASCAR’s series.  The Nationwide series, Camping World Truck Series, and the Sprint Cup series all had races.  Favorites arrived, changes have been made, and new drivers have come on the scene.  I’m not going to take the time to go through all of these changes, but I will point out the noteworthy ones and those that are of importance to me, namely, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, and a few others.

Okay, so I’m finding out that there are some things you should never do while under the influence of pain medication:

1.  Blogging
2. Tweeting
3. IM’ing with more than 2 people at one time
4. Emailing Homework assignment to fellow student who was absent from class
5. Leaving Facebook comments
6. Texting
7. Carrying on a conversation that requires more than just generic responses like:  uh-huh, yeah, and I know.

Yes, believe it or not, I did every one of those while under the influence with some pretty odd results that made it necessary to explain myself today.  So, I shall touch base on all of my offenses.

Sometimes in life you just have to say at the last minute, “I think we need to take a road trip today.” 

That was what I said at 1am this morning to my husband after reading Michael Waltrip’s twitter that said, “You can get in for free and join the festivities.”  So what to do, what to do.

Yep.  You go to North Carolina and join the fun….

Promises Made

I hate it when I’m reminded of a promise I made at the beginning of the week.  I promised my hubby that I’d finish painting the kitchen this week.  Although, I have to admit there was an ulterior motive for me promising to paint.
