Sorry that I haven’t posted in a while, but my church doesn’t want me posting in a blog. They feel that it …

Hmm?

They think that…

Hmm…

Well, you see, it is like this:

Did you read my previous post? Well, it seems that I was asked to sit in the office while being accused of seeing this guy in December, but the truth was that they had everything all backwards. But when I post things like that in my blog… well… When I post anything in my blog that is in the least bit creative, things get blown way out of proportion and then, I get accused of things.

I like my blog and having creative license over it.

I plan to post more here soon. :)

The reason?

I have so much to share!

And writing makes me feel better, and I missed having an outlet for my emotions. :)

So hang tight, people! I will return!

I love being creative!

That’s why I decided to take my guitar/music talent and put them to good use. I wrote a song and made a video.  Enjoy!

**Disclaimer: Because so many people tend to take some of my posts so seriously, I’m gonna warn you that this one is going to be humorous and is not intended to be serious.

During the Nationwide race on Friday, I noticed someone had tweeted about Kasey Kahne’s facial hair. First, I thought this was odd because he’s one of the Gillette Young Gun guys promoting shaving, but then I thought, “What hair? I didn’t see any.”

At the end of the race they interviewed him and sure enough he had some dirt over his upper lip. Kind of reminds me of my seventeen year old when he would go 3 months without shaving and say, “See my mustache.”  I’d tell him to go and wash his face, it was dirty.

Well, then, last night on Speed’s Race Hub I saw Denny Hamlin looking the same way. He looked as though he had some dirt wiped over his lip.

Now, lately this seems to be a trend, and I’m wondering, “Who are they trying to out do?”

Maybe they are trying to reach Dale Jr’s shaggy growth. He came into this season with a “man-of-the-mountain” look that just screamed “I’m a Hermit!”

Maybe they are trying to re-invent Jimmie Johnson’s look in the hopes of changing up their luck or snagging his horseshoe.

And the reason I suggest the above “maybe’s” is because they are in no way man enough to be like Tony Stewart. After all, he climbs into the car clean shaven at the beginning of the race and comes out at the end with a full growth of hair to put Dale Jr’s months of efforts to shame!  Not everyone can be that rugged, now can they?

Dirt Track Racing
My Dad back in the day. He was my hero! I was his greatest fan!

Growing up around racing, I learned that every racecar driver has their share of fans and groupies.  The word ”groupies” reminds me of David Moyer who was the young stud of dirt racing.  He was handsome, his father was wealthy, and he was the fastest thing on dirt.  Every week he would park next to the ladies restroom and there were always girls all over his car hauler.  It never failed.  And even at my young age, I wanted to be one of them, even if he was 7 years older than me.

These days, I make it to the track less often.  However, I still love NASCAR and now that I’m grown, I try to make it to a race.  Of course, when I mention racing, everyone always asks, “Who is your favorite driver?”

Truth be told, it is easier for me to tell you who I don’t pull for rather than tell you who I do.  The reason behind this is that I don’t have one clear favorite.  I know last season I wrote about Tony Stewart quite a bit, but that’s only because I was teased so badly about it.  I like to make things interesting.  Even with everything that I wrote about him, nothing could compare to his Super Fan. I have a problem.  It is a problem that I feel deserves to be addressed.  It concerns my son.  My 12 year old son.

Lately, he has taken to girls.  Well, not just any girls.  No.  Rather he has become smitten with one particular young lady.

To win the heart of this young girl, my son has View full article »
